I like the coat rack. They do not mention the top portion swivels, so that means it is a 3 Piece unit. It Is Made in CHINA. I was under the impression it was made in the USA, It Is Not! Other than that I may have been able to find it elsewhere for a lot cheaper because of it.
Buyer Beware. Pure China Product.
New Buyers Beware...Alert 11/2/11 UPDATE...Unit is Splitting!!! The Center Post has a silver dollar size of cracking, spider cracking like a windshield going in all directions. Then 3 inches from that defect a crack that is the width of a toothpick then it tapers to a the thickness of a hair going towards the end that screws the to the actual base.
It has never tipped, or fell over, nor even over loaded. There is no reason for it to start to crack and crumble away, unless they used junk wood with bugs inside it, then covered it with this nice Mahogany Veneer?
I wish I could return it to Amazon for a new one? Maybe the Amazon reps will read my post and do the right thing and send me a new one and I will gladly send this back in the same packaging as the replacement unit would come in. I do spend a good amount of money with Amazon year in year out.
